is it true that your period stops when you're in water? someone told me that when you're like in the bathtub or hot tub, your period stops flowing. i was just wondering because im supposed to go to my friend's house for a hottub partybut right now i have my period. by wednesday (the party day) my period should be almost done and i'm too scared to try a tampon. would it be okay to not wear anything? like does it stop flowing?

thanks

That's not true, it may not be as heavy or whatever when in the water, but it's still unsanitary and you should wear a tampon. Using a tampon isn't as scary as it sounds. You should just talk to your mother about it and the tampon box has directions in it.

Not true. I'm on the dive team at school and I'm in the water a lot but that still doesn't stop your period. Tampons are not bad and they are probably your only option right now. Just relax all your muscles when you put it in, and it won't hurt a bit.

No! I don't know how these rumors start. Your period does not stop in the water! Water just washes away the blood. You should wear a tampon.

Sorry to disappoint you but it is not true. There is no harm in using a tampon. It is pretty easy. Ask your mom or just follow the direction in the box. Don't forget to relax your body.

You don't want blood drops behind you even if it is in the end of your period.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it won't stop. While you may be too scared to use a tampon, I would still use one to be safe. You should have no problems, even if it is toward the end of your period.

False! Nothing stops your period when you have it. Your only choice is a tampon. Sorry!
