I'm 14 weeks pregnant today, and I've been having headaches off and on for the past 3 weeks or so. I never really got headaches before I got pregnant. Did anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know why I would be getting them?

I had this same problem. It seemed like mine just wouldn't go away, it was so frustrating. My doctor told me I could take Tylenol and those seemed to help. Also, I think if I went to long without eating that would trigger them b/c I would notice that as soon as I'd eat something it would usually go away. Some other things that could be causing your headaches are lack of sleep, stress, low blood sugar, dehydration, or caffeine withdrawal (if you have significantly cut back on that!). Other than taking tylenol when you feel it coming on (not ibuprofen or advil) , just be sure to get enough rest and eat often.

I got headaches when I was pregnant too. Try to drink A LOT of water (8 glasses a day 8 ounces each), never go too long without eating, try a snack, don't be on your feet too long, don't stay out in the heat for extended periods of time. If this doesn't work, speak with your doctor about this.

I never had a headache in my life until my 1st pregnancy. I ended up having preeclampsia- then the migraines started after giving birth. I wouldn't worry, they can be normal during pregnancy, just be sure they are watching your blood pressure.

I'm barely pregnant with number 2 and have already started getting them again.

Hi fellow headache sufferers! I've suffered with daily headaches for the past 5 years or so. I've been to every doctor possible. No answer. I've been taking hydrocodone for over a year now. I am 14 weeks pregnant and still taking the hydrocodone. I have tried NOT to take the meds but I cannot.......my headaches are very bad. My OB said it was ok to take while pregnant and I have talked to several people who have taken it and have healthy babies...so I am praying for the same.

Lot of people get headaches when they are pregnant. I think I got them mostly because I cut back on caffeine. If that's the case for you they will probably get better when your body gets used to the lower levels of caffeine. You can take regular Tylenol when you are pregnant.

I had the same problem but unfortunately I don't know why. Take some tylenol and relax. That is the best medicine.
