Its an 06' Cobalt LT. I had to get the car very quickly with just the basics ( power doors, windows) no sunroof or spoiler..The lease is up in a year and a half.

If you leased the car, you don't own it. Some leasing companies will allow you to terminate a lease early if you lease from them again. Only way to know for sure is to call them up. Otherwise there typically are stiff penalties and I would recommend waiting until your lease agreement is up before looking for a new vehicle.

Other possibilities on getting out of a lease is to sell you lease to someone else.

When you find out the cost to end the lease early you'll realize that you're gonna have that Cobalt for some time. People need to understand that if they tire of a car easily they should #1 buy used, #2 buy right, #3 be ready to spend a lot of money to play buy/sell, #4 NEVER lease. Fortunately you love the car.
