Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was written by Mozart when he was a child. The others just use the tune that he wrote.

I would think since "twinkle" is a popular tune that a lot of kids know that it was used for the alphabet to help them remember and learn the alphabet.

my guess, though i'm probably wrong, is that someone wanted to be able to remember the alphabet better so they just took the tune of twinkle, twinkle and added the alphabet.

Because it is very easy for kids to learn things in that tune. It is been observed that small children learn things very quickly if they do it with a tune.

Also "Baa Baa Black Sheep".
I think it's cause the guy who wrote these three couldn't make up any original work. Just Kidding. I really don't know.
