DUDE!!! i thought that i was the only one who thought about this scenario...and what if you hear it as yellow but the other person calls it something else? very interesting, indeed, very interesting

I don't. I'm colourblind, so I'm well aware that I see the world differently to everybody else. The only reason you know that yellow is yellow is because your parents told you. It's a label.
Keith J - I'm afraid you are mistaken. The three primary colours of light are red, green and blue, and red/green colour blindness is caused by a problem with the blue cone in the retina. As yellow is not a primary colour of light, the view of it is affected by colour blindness.

AFAIK, yellow should be fine for everyone to see.
Folks who are colour blind have difficulty with Red and Green and some rare cases have trouble with Blue.

We can't - it's just one of those things that is "understood" that despite what anybody else sees, it still represents 'yellow' to them, even if they see it as blue and pink checks !-
