yes, i think you need to look in their eyes. Especially if it's a really deep conversation. It makes you and them get more into what you're talking about and makes you both into what you're saying. It justifies that you are listening and this is improtant, especially if you're in a relationship whith that someone you're talking to.
If you don't look into their eyes or even at them it kind of saying, **** off i don't care. so i think eye contact is very important in a conversation.

Off and on. Because of my height I am intimidating and staring into someone's eyes is also intimidating so since I can't make myself shorter, I look at their mouth or ears or something else so I'm not so fierce.

sometimes...the only time I don't look people in the eyes is if they have a staring problem. I just get freaked out ;)

Yes - I think its very important to make eye contact when you are talking to someone. I finf it hard to trust someone that doesnt look at me when speaking

absolutely. I can tell a lot about someone when they talk to me and where they are looking....which should be in my eyes :)
