How did Miley Cyrus get so famous?

like yeah her show and dad and stuff but could someone without all that become famous? like are there any other singing shows like hannah montana? My friend wants to become famous and she is an amazing actress and singer... So yeah plz answer the original question. Thanks.

Miley's show " Hannah Montana" just hits a chord with kids now a days and while she does have a famous father, she is well thought of for what she does NOT do. She has not displayed the level of dumbness that emanated from teen stars who have now slid into ridicule. Ordinary kids do become famous.
You might not remember this but
1) Melissa Joan Hart she started in Nickelodeon'sClarissa Explains it al before she moved to prime time's Sabrina in the 1990'sl- she did not have connections
2) Hillary Duff- she started in Disney's Lizzie McGuire then moved on to her singing career
3) Britney Spears was without connections and was from backwater Louisiana before she joined the Mickey Mouse Club then moved on to the disaster she has become today.

Your friend will have to hit the pavement and audition audition audition. She would have to have a portfolio of pictures and any work she has already done.

her dad is wayy famous and had like a million #1's on the charts, i dono, that probably helped, and her dad totally set up the hannah montana thing, like the tv show, he set up the auditions and stuff, that's part of the reason she made it.

i dono why else, in my opinion, i actually don't think hannah montana is that special, i mean, she lipsings!!

just tell your friend to go to movie and tv show auditions for a minor part, then maybe if they like her (sounds like they will if she is amazing) then she will be discovered!!
