...and covering for Jesus when asked a question that makes Jesus look like what he was? Pius xii and Jesus were both killers of Jews. Anyone who thinks Jesus was assassinated "before" he lead an army of 144,000 mercenary Jews to destroy their own Holy City of Jerusalem in 68 is still hypnotised by the power of tjhe Cult Of Augustus Caesar.

We are not making excuses for Pope Pius XII but we are trying to tell the truth of what happened.

No serious scholar contests the evidence that Pius XII took direct and indirect measures to save Jews from the Nazi death machine.

At the start of World War II, Pope Pius XII’s first encyclical was so anti-Hitler that the Royal Air Force and the French air force dropped 88,000 copies of it over Germany. Here is a link to the Summi Pontificatus: Encyclical of Pope Pius XII on the Unity of Human Society, October 20, 1939: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/pius_xii/encyclicals/documents/hf_p-xii_enc_20101939_summi-pontificatus_en.html

Unfortunately the Soviet Union and others had been trying to convince the world that the Catholic Church was pro-Nazi since the death of Pope Pius in 1958. Here are some sources:

See also "The Myth of Hitler’s Pope: How Pope Pius XII Rescued Jews From the Nazis" by David G. Dalin which has compiled further overwhelming proof of Pope Pius Xii"s friendship for the Jews beginning long before he became pope.

As for your claim about Jesus leading an army of 144,000 mercenary Jews to destroy their own Holy City of Jerusalem in 68, I patiently await you to cite the documents or provide links to these claims so that the rest of us can do proper research. Thank you.

With love in Christ.

Anyone who reads "Hitler's Pope," as recommended by holacarinados--and even some who don't--might also want to read the rebuttal at
http://www.ewtn.com/library/ISSUES/ZPIUS12A.HTM
Or "The Jews, Pius XII and The Black Legend," by Antonio Gasperi mentioned in that article.
Just because a book is published doesn't mean it's true, in whole or in part.

Incidentally, "making excuses" assumes there's something to excuse.

And, just for the sake of argument, suppose I'm tired of the Church of Elvis or the Cult of Mithras Bull-Slayer. How would I sign up for "tjhe [sic] Cult Of Augustus Caesar"?

Have you taken your medication today?
I suggest you refuse to be led astray by those who posit theories of certain "Cults." Pius XII wasn't perfect, but what he has to do with some trumped up theory of mercenary Jews destroying Jerusalem 2,000 years ago is outright absurd.
Let's see some facts.

Catholics defended Pius XII until a religious writer (a Catholic) got so angry with people accusing this pope of collaborating with the Nazis, he decided to write a book denying it. The trouble is after extensive research, he realized he WAS a nazi collaborator. The book is called "Hitler's Pope" and it is thoroughly researched and well written. Try amazon or the library. About Jesus--I wouldn't be too trustful of 'history' that far back.

Excuse me?

Jesus did not lead an army against Jerusalem. He also was not assassinated; He was executed almost 40 years prior to this so called event.

Why would this "cult of Augustus" that you mention support the truth about Jesus? Under Augustus, the followers of Christ were severely punished.

Your hypothesis makes no sense, so thanks for playing but umm sorry....

You sure have some mad ideas pal,one question though where did you get the fantasy story about Jesus, on the side of a cereal packet or what because no historian would even think of suggesting such a stupid notion and would have a great laugh at this wacky theory of yours.
