Assuming the property is rectangular, you'd have to measure at least one of the sides, or know roughly the ratio of length to width. Just the area alone is not enough to uniquely determine perimeter.

For example, 9 million square feet (approximately) could be a thin rectangle 1000 x 9000 feet. Or it could be a square 3000 x 3000 feet. The perimeters of those two shapes are quite different (20,000 feet vs 12,000 feet), even though their areas are identical. Heck, it could be 1 foot wide and 9 million feet long -- still 9 million square feet in area, but with a perimeter of 18,000,002 square feet. But since you didn't say it was a spaghetti farm, I'd assume that's not the case. Seriously...

If you knew that your property was very close to square, or maybe if you knew it was roughly twice as long as it is wide, you could derive the approximate dimensions (and therefore the approximate perimeter) from the area. If you knew the length, you could divide the area to get the width (or vice versa).

You can't determine the perimenter exactly (assuming a rectangluar piece of property) without knowing the length of one of the sides, but you can say that the perimenter must be at least 4*sqrt(A) feet where A is the square footage of your property. This comes from the quadratic equation. Using your area, the perimeter must be at least 12326.3 ft

Your question states that your property is a having "a square footage 9,496,118.9 feet", which is the answer also! obviously your property is square-shape!

I don't know conversion of an acre to square feet, (which is not needed here) if you have correctly stated the footage!

Check out the plot plan. They must have a copy at your town hall. All the dimesions should be listed. Unless you tell us its a perfect square, then your original answer is no.

I concur. In general, perimeter may not be determined from surface area alone.

There should be a steal survey stake in each corner of your property.
