Im mexican american but we can't say that Mexico played bad in fact they played there best game of the tournament ( without any referee interfeering). mexico was helped by the referree maybe unconsciuosly in the games against costa rica and panama, while the US got like a million penalties this tournament. The US ended playing better the last 25 minutes of the game, well screw magallon for making that penalty.

It was pretty obvious from the very beginning of the tournament that the referee's wanted USA to win...It really loses the meaning of the sport and diminishes the value of competition. It seems someone wants USA to win in an attempt to make soccer more popular in USA to increase the money spent on soccer...the game has become corrupt, it saddens me. USA got a free penalty, yet when the Mexican player was fouled to earn a penalty kick, the referee said no and even gave him a yellow card, despicable. I was pissed on that game...I hate corruption...

An instant classic---really a great game. Hard knocks, very physical, but neither side resorted to cheap shots or dirty play. The penalty was the right call---the Mexican defender clearly put a leg out to impede Ching.

The US did a much better job not because Mexico stinks but because the US are better in "futbol" than any teams in the region. I just want to see them with a B team in the Copa America:good challenge.

well what did u expect all refs in all sports will make mistakes in this game is 1 normal team and 1 better team the better team being U .S. A.
but us in the first half usa deserved to lose 555 to 0 but in the second half they noticed that they were they steped up a notch and came up on top

Maxico..the maxipad company of the eighties...had a decent team...but they were no match for the u.s.a.
