I currently live in Ohio, US and I am seriously considering moving from here to Toronto. It's a magnificent city and the people and culture there just blows my mind. I have a cousin that lives up there and I have visited the city numerous times. I feel like Toronto is more of a fit for me. I'm young and want to live in a more "foreign" community without being too far away from my family. What are some of the steps to permanently move to Canada? I know I would have to take a citizenship test, but what else would I have to prepare for? Thanks!!

The Cost of living will be much higher in Toronto than any place in Ohio so be sure you have a good job lined up before you go.

You have to pay a landing fee as my friend did last year. She lives is Toronto and I love it there too. This fee is to allow you to work and live in Canada. If you can, ask a lawyer about how to stay there permanently in wonderful Toronto.

You can't move to another country without the consent of your parents because you are still a minor.

OK, but it will be very expensive and hard to get immigration.

But, I don't blame you, you do live in Ohio.
