My daughter is 10 months old and eats mainly table food. I thought of incorporating scrambled eggs into her diet. Anyone know what age is recommended for eggs? AND DON'T PUT ME DOWN FOR ASKING...I HAVEN'T GIVEN THEM TO HER YET, I JUST AM CURIOUS ABOUT THE AGE FACTOR.

I did read that you can give just the cooked egg yolk as early as 7 months but to not give cooked egg whites until 1 year because of possible allergic reaction. Anyone give their baby scrambled eggs (whites and all) to their baby before 1 year and what was your experience?

You are right. Ignore the first answer - she got it backwards. You can give her egg yolks, not egg whites. Try giving her hard boiled egg yolks mashed up to start with.

Your'e supposed to wait until 1 year before introducing egg white.

You can cook and mash the yokes for her, thats fine.

See, the gal up there said the opposite, but i was told this. I would ask her doctor, or google it.

I have the book "What to expect the First Year" and this book says not to feed your child eggs until they are 1. This also goes for peanut butter and a couple other things. My doctor also gave me information on this so I know the book isn't lying.

They say to wait until she is a year due to possible allergies. You can always try a little and keep a close eye on her. I did this with my son and peanut butter and he was fine.

wait until she is one to give her eggs, that goes for strawberries, milk, peanut butter and chocolate too. honey on the other hand she shouldn't have until she is a few years older. i was told this from my daughter's doctor and ot, because of botulism.
