Ive been thinking about this because all my brothers have chiped there cars and i was wondering if i could chip mine. Its an 89 chevrolet s-10 4.3 v-6.

If it has fuel injection its all possible. But I would recommend not doing that to an 89 S-10 with an automatic. Your transmission will goto hell.

Any car or truck with a PCM can be "chipped". Yours will have an aftermarket "prom" or a chip that piggybacks onto the manufacturers "prom" inside the PCM. The prom is what is specifically designed for this type of a vehicle. All you have to do is drop the PCM from the dash, remove the plate from the PCM body, and carefully pry out and/or install the aftermarket one overtop or in place of. Good luck.

superchips does not make one for that model. Try looking up turbo city in orange california. they used to carry a company that made a chip that also locked up the TQ in the tranny.
They also offer other things to do to that engine to make power. injectors throttle bodies etc.
