I want a cell phone but my parents won't let me!!!!?

Question

how do i get them to let me get one!?!?
anyone have anything that worked on there parents or something i should do!?!?
i mean i am 14 years old already and don't have one

Samantha, you sound a little spoiled. Dont get on here and tell people you want a cell phone, just cause you want one or because your friends have one. Remember cell phones were not in common use 10 years ago, so dont feel that you deserve one just because you are 14. If you want to get one, the cheaper ones can go for as little as 40 dollars, and prepaid minutes for as little as 25 dollars, get a part time job, or find a way to earn 65 at once, like maybe doing an extra hard chore around your house. then go to radioshack , target or wal mart and buy a phone and activate it.
I went to Las Vegas this weekend for my Bachelor party. I bought the phone i just told you about so i wouldnt lose my regular one. Like i said, cost me around 65 dollars.
If you wanna be real responsible talk to your parents first.

Ask them if you can get a prepaid cell phone and then offer to pay for it yourself. I know it is hard when all the other kids seem to have cell phones, but it is really a luxury item, not something that you have to have. I didn't get a cell phone until I was 35.

why do you need a cell phone at that age???? i didn't get my cell phone till i was 21. If u want them to get you one you will have to show them that you are mature enough to get one and that you will not go over your minutes cause ya 10 cents a minute adds up.

get really good grades. make a bet wit them. if u get higher than the set grade u can get a phone. worked 4 me

just get a prepaid virgin mobile.
you only pay it when you run outta minutes.
and take the responsibilty to pay it yourself.
