It might be worth the try but have a Plan B in sight. The stalker is obsessed by you so may be if it is possible make up a profile that is like you but of course it is a fake one and may be because of what he is doing he will hang himself out to dry.

You may only be shifting the problem or your stalker may get more bold which could be dangerous for you. Consult your local law enforcement department.

its worth a try but probably not
if you have a stalker you need to be recording everything so when you have enough proof you can take it to the police
he is stalking you because..you are YOU and he probably not ready to give up on you.
