I just bought a Grand prix coupe GT with 108,000 km, the car was not running when I bought it so I got it for a bargain, it only needed a battery to start up but the engine smokes a lot especially when hot, it gives out a blueish smoke. It still has a lot of power and even the AC works when idle. Does anyone have a clue?

You are burning too much oil. Since you say it runs pretty good, it's probably just valve seals. If there are valve guide issues, you will find them when you go to put the new seals in. If that's the case, then it's remove the heads and overhaul both. Good luck.

Send an oil sample into www.blackstone-labs.com and have them check it out. They can tell you if theres any significant part wear by looking at mineral/metal content.

Also you can try castrol GTX's high-mileage oil formula to help reduce oil consumption, but if its really bad that may not help much at all.
