It will be difficult, but you can breast feed at any age. My wife breast fed our foster child (Cocaine baby) when the foster child was 4 months old.

Remember any women can breastfeed because it is the act of suckling that causes the breasts to produce milk not labor and delivery. Labor and Delivery only produces a substance called Colustrum.

This should make you smile. Someone posted a similar question a couple of days after you posted yours. The top answer for that one was:

"No you can't breast feed at three months. YOU need to be at least 12 or 13 and have breasts before you can breast feed...most 3 month old babies don;t have breasts." I thought it was a hysterical answer.

Yes, it will be challenging to start your milk supply up again. But its worth it in the end.

My suggestion would be to put a few drops of formula on your nipples and letting the baby suckle before every feeding. (that's just a guess, follow the link for more professional advice)

Even if your milk is dry now it can start again (my youngest is 5 years old and I still have a drop of milk from time to time)

Absolutely. Do you still have milk? If not, there are herbal remedies or some medication that you can take to help jumpstart your milk. If so, even just a little, try nursing the baby before every feeding. It will gradually increase your milk supply. Just keep in mind that the baby might have a hard time latching on now. I'd suggest calling a lactation consultant as well.

if u still have milk , but they say that if u delivered a baby recently and u start the stimulations , ie having the baby latch on , or even pupming the milk ou t, u may be able to get it flowing again , but u may have to pump it out and place in a bottle , after 3 months , of a child being on the bottle nipple they may regect the breast , but they have nipple childs for women who breast feed that have inverted nipples u may get one of those sence they resemble the bottle nipple , good luck

It is very possible to relactate, the sooner you do, the easier it will likely be. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/adopt/index.html

Good luck!
