compared to Britian and Europe? A large percentage have never been abroad and most likely never will unlike the British who travel around Europe even if they come from a poor background. Only the very rich come to England. You health care system is appalling which 50% of the population cannot afford insurance. Anything is cheaper as most people can not afford buy things. People from England can travel the world and get a good exchange rate for the pound unlike the dollar.

What's the question? More like a rant to me... you automatically assume something which is false without bothering to find real facts, then don't even think of what you write... People in the US are poor because we don't travel to England? Keep in mind, that is like you traveling to the US.

Man, I thought I was well off until you had to go and show me how poor I was and how under traveled I was.

You're right, please send me a lot of money since you are obviously a generous person from a very wealthy country and are only trying to help the poor Americans.

I guess we are badly off with health care. When you have an emergency here you go to the hospital and sometimes wait 3 hours before you are treated. If you didn't have insurance they still treat you and possibly due emergency surgery etc. and you wont have to pay. If you are an illegal immigrant they still do this for you too. Yeah, you're right. Our country's health care really sucks.

Please don't make fun of us anymore. Just feel sorry for us and send us alot of money.Maybe if you visit here sometime you take take this poor man on a vacation. Maybe you could drive me from Northern Illinois to Northern Wisconsin. Takes about 8 hours and you're only one state away. Try driving across the US. Take you 4-5 days. The train alone would take 2-3 days.

Why would I want to travel to England if others there share you attitude towards US citizens?

I'm wondering have you been around the world a little your self? as far as most americans poor, no thier not. Do you know the meaning of poor? you should go to a 3rd world country sometime and live there for i'd say about a year or so. Healthcare substandard its not and by people from england can travel the world are you referring to the hop and skip over the pond to the mainland right next to you? I'd say the quickest and easiest answer to your question is that most people in the united stated are not truely intersted in traveling abroad to other places, Its not that expensive to. Oh and by the way the per/capita of the uk is 2/3 that of the us. If any thing why are people from the UK so poor?

If you are thinking that because we don't travel the world, you are wrong. Most of us travel all around America. It is a big place you know. Not only that, but we have a much better quality of life. Where is your source that 50% of ppl cant afford healthcare. What is to say they just don't have it. Another thing, we live in America, why would we want to go anywhere else?

Well... you travel Europe because it is where you live. Americans of all socioeconomic backgrounds travel through out the continental U.S. (which is a lot bigger than the UK). I personally have been to England and I am by no means rich. I think you have a very naive perspective on the world as a whole. Would you make the same statements about Africa or Canada?

an excellent sort of the wealth in this united states is centred interior the better few percentile element team. maximum human beings have little or no. Many human beings stay from paycheck to paycheck. In instances of recession, many human beings understand how financially susceptible they are. The loss of a pair of paychecks or some unexpected super expenses can push many human beings into desperate financial situations.

The average American gives to charity over three times what the average citizen of U.K does . . . as far as traveling internationally . . . look at a map . . . to travel from from England to France takes about two hours - its a bit like going from Florida to Georgia - not a big deal. As to only the very rich immigrating to your country - do you read your own newspapers? Apparently not. The uninsured are less than 10% in the U.S. Your ridiculous.

I have no idea where you got your stats from the US is one of the wealthiest countries around. We also open our doors to everyone, and have so many more people than England does, can we send our poor to you??
I am not mega rich, and have been to England several times, honestly, it is not a "hot spot" that most of us want to visit!
Things are cheaper here because of supply and demand, ease of transport, and competition in stores, not because no one shops or can afford things.

The US is so much larger than European countries. You can see several different countries in a week without ever jumping on a plane, some places in the US would take 20 hours of driving or more to see another country. Also, why bring sand to the beach? We have the best country in the world, why leave?

england- 50,346 sq mi

Driving across america would take you from the pacific ocean to the atlantic ocean

America is 75 times bigger than your country and vastly richer.
