I am confused. Please tell me am I scorpio or sagi? My personal chart show that my sun is in Scorpio but according to western astrology I am a sagi 29th Nov. 1974. Please tell me which one to follow?

The Indian System of Astrology is based on the Sidereal Zodiac and has been found to be more accurate than the western system. As per the Sidereal Zodiac your Sun-Sign is Scorpio and not Sagittarius. However, you should not follow any one of them as good results are not obtained. You should go in for the Ascendant----The Sign which was rising at the time of your birth and as obtained under the Sidereal Zodiac System----also called 'Vedic' System or Indian Astrology System.
You will need to post your full birth particulars, Date, Time of Birth and Place of Birth so that some one can tell you what is your Rising Sign/Ascendant also called "LAGNAM" in Indian Astrology

My knowlege of Vedic astrology is quite limited. However, i do recall that usually Vedic astrology places one a number of degrees "behind" a Western charting. So, though a Sag in Western, moving back 7 or 8 degree would make you a Scorpio via Vedic. And i think the "move back" is usually more than just 9 degrees, perhaps as much as 20 or so.
Use both methods for guidelines, and see how it helps :))

Confusion can be attributed to your own self, because you are trying to mix two different systems. As per Indian (Hindu) system, Sun enters Vrischik Rasi (8th sign) around middle of November (on l6th November 2007 this year) and stays there for a month but the system followed in Western methods is different, and that is why the alleged confusion.

It might depend on where you were born. Dates that are on US websites and such suppose that you were born in the US. So...check that first. Otherwise maybe you're confusing the sun sign with a rising sign?
