That depends.
If you are putting tile down and it comes in small (say 1 square inch) pieces, you would need:
(7 X 7) + (3X 2) square feet.
49 + 6 = 55 square feet. = 6.111 square yards.
If you are putting down carpet, it gets a little more complicated.
You still need 6.1111 sq. yards of coverage.
But carpet comes in a whole piece or roll.
depending on where the smaller square is located, If it is contiguous to the large piece, It is preferable to not cut and piece the carpet.
You should get a piece large enough to cover the entire area.
So figure the longest width times the longest length.
Then see what width the carpet comes in (yes it comes in different widths). If the carpet comes in a width wider than the longest of your 2 measurements, you need to by a piece as long as your shorter measurement.
If the carpet comes in a width narrower than your longest measurement but wider than your shortest, you need to buy a piece as long as your loner measurement.
There will be a lot of waste so the number of yards is not really a factor.
Whatever you are doing, allow a little extra on all measurements.

there are 9 square feet in one square yard but don't cut it too close. I'd say 6 for the first piece and one for the second.

I'll bet you have an area of 3 feet by 2 feet to cover? Your best bet is to buy an off cut from your local supplier of floor coverings. The sales person will advice you.

your bathroom is a total of 18 1/3 sq yds
7x7 = 49
3x3 = 6
49+6=55 sq ft
3ft=1 yd
55/3=18.33333sq yds

7 ftX 7 Ft = 49 sq ft divide by 9 = 6 sq yards with some left over
3 ft X 2 ft = 6 sq ft divide by 9 = less than 1 sq yard.
so 7 sq yards should do it

When measuring a room a professional usually measures a room's area by measuring the longest width by the longest breadth. I know it is waste full but it appears that it's the way tradesmen work.
So unless your room is a really strange shape the accurate measure would be 70 square feet. because one of your measuring lines is 10ft not 7ft.

Area = 49ft² + 6ft²
Area = 55ft²
Area = 55 / 9 yd²
Area = 6 .11 yd²
