I am looking for 1GB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR memory module.(Quantity:2)
Are there any cheap prices out there that sell laptop memory with these specifications.

Depends on what you mean by cheap.

DDR is more expensive than DDR2 which sucks and I just upgraded my laptop last tuesday so I can say that with absolute certainty.

I checked around as much as I could to the online computer stores (zipzoomfly, buy.com, tigerdirect, newegg, geeks.com and others). Best price I found was $75

Hope you can find better, but I certainly couldn't

Newegg and Tiger Direct as mentioned before. Sometimes, quite often, you can get really good prices from Best Buy and Circuit City (other local computer/office stores too). You have to browse the circulars on Sundays to see who is having sales or even rebates. Then at least you can be sure it is new because you are getting the packaging right off the shelf in front of you.

Moore's Law has already applied. These 4 GB SODIMM's were around $800 each when first available. As the modules become more popular, the price goes down. Then as new hardware comes out and demand goes down they become more expensive. We have seen this recently with desktop DDR2 modules.

I would suggest you delete the word cheap. I would get new, never been used Ram. Ram is everywhere. Office Depot, Staples, etc. You computer manufactor. 1 gig will be around 80 dollars. Pretty much a standard.

** Warning**

I like newegg and have found their site to be fair and trustworthy.

I saw some others mentioned Tigerdirect.com.

Do yourself a favor and avoid them altogether. Their prices are good. But they are misleading and untrustworthy.

Do a BBB search for tigerdirect. Their customer support is nonexistent and they screw people over regularly.

To put it mildly I will never shop with them again.

Newegg.com has prices that are roughly equivalent, but your experience will be sooooooooooooooo much better.

in short:

STAY AWAY FROM TIGERDIRECT.
