This might be the best season they have since the NFC Championship year.
Petrino is an offensive minded coach, and that's going Petrino is going to helo Vick a ton. Not only is he going to make him a better passer, but now that they got Joe Horn, he should be great. Horn was a great acquisition because they have never been solid at WR. Plus with Finneran back, Vick will have many options of where he can go to in pressure situations (that is if he doesn't just run past anybody.)
Also, Vick will have an easier time passing with a stronger O-Line. With the 300 pound LG, Justin Blalock, you can expect to see more protection for Vick.
Their main passing game has been Crumpler for several years, but honestly, you're go to guy needs to be a WR.
Petrino guaranteed that Vick would complete 65% of his passes this year. Even if that doesn't happen, I still think he will get at least 60%. He will have huge improvement with better recievers and overall better ability to pass.
They have always had a great running game. And Norwood is going to be a great back to split with Dunn, and he will be good in the long run, after Dunn retires.Their rushing game might not get as many opportunities as the passing game with Bobby Petrino coaching, but either way, it will still be amazing
Their defense is another big factor. They have an average D, not great, not terrible. They did a good job in the draft to replace some holes, and get some new guys. Jamaal Anderson will be great for the D-Line, and a good replacement for Kerney. Plus with a healthy John Abraham, you can expecty a lot.
So overall I think Atlanta will do good. Most likely a winning season, and wild card/ division contender. However, this is Patrino's first year, and it may be a few years before they become prime contenders. But remember Mora's first year, don't be suprised to see the same thing happen in 07.

Miserable. The head coach is not the problem. Who's made the decision to trade away Schaub and hold on to Vick is a head case.
Falcon fans -How many more years will it take to realize that Vick is not a QB? Enjoy the 1000 rushing QB and complain that you have no receivers. The truth is that you can give Vick Holt and Harrison and he still will not be able to throw accurately. The Falcons should have traded Vick to Oakland for the #1 pick this year, drafted Calvin Johnson, and we would be talking about a SB bound team by now. Jim Mora was an excellent coach and so was Dan Reeves. Petrino will fail not because he's not good, but because the situation in ATL is impossible to straighten out. Not to mention the off-field issues.

If Vick plays the entire season, they will do a little better then last year because this year they have Joe Horn, but don't count on them winning the Super Bowl.

Jimmy Johnson and Mike Ditka could desire to be 2 outstanding applicants for that activity. in line with threat the Falcons could desire to reeeeaaly throw it some time past and produce Jerry Glanville and June Jones decrease back hhahaha . which would be thrilling and unique.

I figure them to go 8-8. Vick is not a QB and hopefully one day they'll realize that. He should be a RB or WR??? Or maybe just go train some dogs somwhere in Virginia!Im so glad the Chargers made that trade to get LT

9-7 Vick still won't be able to hit the broad side of a barn. The receivers and offensive linemen will be blamed again. Petrino will be fired in two years.
