I think that we have a choice: incorporate some aspect of fascism or be destroyed by the citizens who demand rights while assuming no responsibilities. Your question would carry more gravitas if you spelled fascism correctly.

It is not on its way it is here. Not to the degree it was in Europe 70 years ago but it is here. If we don't take steps to curb and eliminate it we will find ourselves in a truly totalitarian state. First we need to elect Democrats to both Congress and the presidency. Then we need to insist that much of that stuff signed by Dubya be removed or put under the control of Congress. We need to act now and not wait. Start writing your reps. immediately and let them know that you will not tolerate their passively allowing such things to happen. Another thing we can do is to insist on the banning of lobbyists in the Capitol and around any of the members of Congress. This will force the people in Congress to listen to us and not the lobbyists who are armed with money to buy favors with. We need to take our country back from the corporations or lose it altogether.

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers individual and other societal interests subordinate to the needs of the state, and seeks to forge a type of national unity, usually based on, but not limited to, ethnic, cultural, or racial attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, corporatism, collectivism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, racism and opposition to economic and political liberalism.
