i recently ran out of papers for rolling a joint, so decided to use the very fine pages of my mums bible, i tried to lick the paper but it wouldnt stick. i then tried prit-stik, but it didnt burn, hence it side burned all the way down. any suggestions.
ps, all you brainwashed bible bashers out there need not answer.

Without "THUMPING" or reporting, obviously your paper choice and effect might have to do with Karma. In any case papers are cheap, and maybe still the Bible thing is a joke, or if not maybe some issues you have with the book? No matter, in any case. and no offenses meant.
You could mix a paste of flour, and apply that to any edge to be rolled, certainly Moisture is also an issue and dry/smoke time. Or as we used to do twist ends tightly, before the advent of "glued edges, on processed paper packets.
In any case the GLUE used in the processed papers is more like a glucose than anything else and certainly no more Toxic than anything rolled into the sheet.
On a light note, I'd probably start with "Revelations" :) then move to "Genesis".
Ah here's another thought and you may have suggested it though I don't recognize the BRAND NAME you offer. Glue Sticks of a Postal Grade should work, and be non toxic as well.

Firstly, in my experience paper from the book of Revelation works the best. Especially the page about the number of the beast being 666. Then mix up a little sugar water. Wet one edge of the paper with the sugar water. Roll as normal. Next dry the wet side by running your cigarette lighter back and forth along the spliff. Light it up and you're good to go!

you take the foil out of your pack of smokes
then heat up the foil with you litter don't burn it just heat it up then peel the paper off and presto u have a paper this paper will stick its great when your stuck
up in smoke!! Brother

I can vaguelly remember being in this predicament. I think I eventually gave up and made a quick pipe instead-sorted!!!
