Well, some people do not smile too much. Its difficult to make them smile. But that does not mean they do not like to smile. If you tell them something really funny, I bet they would laugh a lot more than you. So, the answer would be that you cannot run out of smiles

I believe when life gets so hard to handle you forget the smiles, they are there but the problems are at the times insurmountable so the smiles stay hidden.

Nope. Well, not me anyway.
Other people seem to lose theirs constantly. I think their mothers should pin them to their jackets.
Whenever I need to smile ... I just try to clear my mind.
Every time I try to think of nothing, the most insane, random thought goes flying into my brain.
Here, I'll do it right now ...
*exhales .... closes eyes ... *
(With all that snow, and all that swimming, I bet penguins would buy really sensible shoes ...)
