Are you trying to say what would make a more healthy way of life or a better place to live?

I hear you & agree that many areas of the world just use things that are not good for the environment & clutter it up with things that many lay around for ever.

There are areas that don't have plastic bags & could well be smoke free but I don't think most people would choose to live there.

Most people would choose to live with the plastic bags & have all the things that make life more comfortable.

When so many people have to have their water in plastic bottles. Plastic bags don't seem as big a problem.

Some people's ideas of better living conditions means having all that junk.

We can only look after ourself & hope that others will join us in doing the right things.

I live in Jackson WY and we have several times throughout the year that the community gets together and cleans all the surroundings in a 60 mile radius. We have recycling bins everywhere. Our community also pays for a company to come in and rummage through our landfill and clean out all the stuff that can still be recycled that people didn't do on there own. Most the people here use the town shuttle and ride bikes since it is free. There are free bikes through out town you can use and there are special drop-offs so others can use them. This way people are not driving.

We all get together to make our town a better place to live. You need to start in your own community and work up from there.

One of the most serious priorities is to maintain a clean environment. While there are many little ways to do this, one thing I would like to see done is that communities improve mass transit.

Also, I would like to see improved sewer and ventilation systems. Everyone should get involved, from whistle-blowing and reporting to joining in community clean-up efforts.

We have made our LARGE home as energy efficient as we possibly can. We have cut our utility bills and water consumption tons over the years. There is nothing like good sensible home improvements to help not only ourselves, but the community in general.
