I've never been happier in my life than since I married the man who is my husband. He completes me.

i think the answer is not about more or less and there are differences. For example, before marriage drinking with your close friends makes you happy whereas you are happy to take care of your wife and kids after marriage. On the other hand, different people have different thought.

Have you ever heard of the ole saying, "Dam if I do, and dam if I don't" I would say that a person is happy before marriage, and should be happier after marriage, and they got a long sometime difficult road to travel, but they won't go alone. The sad time comes when one of the other mates leaves the world, then one will feel saddness then.

Well it was before AND after my marriage BUT as the years rolled on it seemed one was giving more than the other and selfishness set in. I think thats what is called, " Taking one for granted ".Needless to say after a 24 year relationship it ended but hey A NEW one has begun. Life goes on even after a spirtual dead marriage has ended.

It depends on how I'm defining happiness. I was definitely more spontaneous and had more fun before marriage. My boyfriend (now husband) and I did a lot of travelling, partying, hanging out with friends, etc. We had the time and energy to do whatever we felt like.

But, I am much more content now. I miss being able to go out, but I feel so much love for him and my children on a regular basis, that it's a fair trade. I'd consider myself very happy now, but it's tempered with a lot more responsibility and general business.

If I weren't married to my husband, I think I'd probably still be having fun, but wouldn't be as happy, because I'd be looking for more stability and committment in my life. Plus, I was very lucky in that I found a partner who I enjoy being with everyday. Even when our days are filled with errands, bills, diapers, and exhaustion. We somehow manage to find joy in all of it.

O my Goodness, I am actually planning to tie the knot next year. I could have asked the same question. I love my fiance, but it's a fact that it's gonna be a different world once you're married. I want to believe we'd overcome it together and last for life, coz we don't wanna be like most marriages these days that has an "expiration date."

Sorry, I might not have answered your question.

It was a different happiness before marriage - passion, excitement, eagerness and sweet moments together.

After I got married, the happiness I experienced was stability, commitments, completeness and the love from an extended family. You really become a part of each other. Every plan we made was lifelong.

I wasn't happy before I was married, My parents were too strict. I decided to take the easy way out, I met my husband when I was 17, married when I turned 18... only to live a very restricted lifestyle...Never take the easy way out, and make sure you know what your getting into...otherwise you'll never be happy...When your dating it's all fun and excitement, but once they know they have you trapped, it's a whole different story...
