There is no symbol for inversely proportional.
a alpha b means a is directly proportional to b.
a alpha (1/b) means a is inversely proportional to b.
Hope this helps.

There isn't one. We just write it as m alpha 1/a, which means m is inversely proportional to a.

let a = alpha (I can`t find alpha!)
y directly proportional to x is then written as:-
y a x
y = k x
y inversely proportional to x is written as:-
y a 1/x
y = k (1/x)

As I recall, you write v alpha 1/t. I'll see if I can find another symbol, though.
[edit] Look at the link below; my original guess was right.

It's the same, but instead of it being "X (alpha) K"
it is "X (alpha) 1/K"
Hope that helps somewhat : )
