I would have to say that i am the wiser one without a doubt..
I handle all the money
I pay all the bills
I make the decisions
ect ect, if i let my husband do it, we would probably be homeless because he just LOVES to spend money, even when we don't have any..
For example; I added him onto my bank account and i got him his own bank card, i told him this card is strictly for gas and food while your at work, well the first two month went good, he didn't spend alot of money..
Well to my suprise i checked my bank account and that fool had gotten a direct deposit advance for 200 dollars because he spend most the money, ok well i got paid and they took 230 out of my check because of that DDA, then again the next month he overdrafted my account by 200 dollars again, they ended up taking out 400 that month for the money he overdrafted and the overdraft fees, then my husband decided to get another direct deposit advance for 300 dollars this time, i mind you my rent is due on the first ( i pay 600) and i owe 330 because of the advance he got AGAIN!
I went to the bank, cut off his card and he will never get another one, not while he is with me or on my account!
Tell me, what that a wise decision for him to do this?
NOPE!

My first Xhusband was very smart, but kind of a bum. He had very little aspiration unless it was of the illegal kind. So I'd say I was the wiser then, don't know now as I haven't seen him in years, but I've heard he's straightened up a great deal.
My second Xhusband, wasn't as smart as he thought he was...really a complete psycho closed minded idiot. He had good intentions, but couldn't control his jealousy and anger. So I pretty much believe I'm the wiser, and I still talk to him on occasion and he reconfirms that every time.

It depends on the situation. I'm wiser when it comes 2 the kids and our finances-he's lousy w/ money. He's wiser when it comes 2 fixing up our house and reading people. He's definetly a good people reader, me on the other hand-it's a disaster waiting 2 happen when it comes 2 our friends.

I think we are both equally smart but in different subjects. For example, I am a college graduate while he does not but has more common sense and street smarts than I.

I can't really give you a quantitative answer, but I do find we both appreciate the others wisdom more the older we get. I think we may be developing "community wisdom" (for lack of a better phrase).

Him, he is more motivated. He has to tell me what to do usually. Really, I don't know what I would do without him. Well, I am more booksmart. I have an IQ of 129, but that doesn't give me common sense.

Smarter? She is. Wiser? I'd say me by a narrow margin.

Me in common sense and worldly things, but she is light years ahead of me in matters of the heart and keeping our finances straight.
