you don't put a tampon on you put it in when you buy them there is an information leaflet inside the box which gives you directions on how to insert your tampon you are best starting off with a medium till you get used to doing it. you also need to choose whether you want one with an applicator or a non applicator you would probably be better with an applicator as you are using for the first time.

There should be direstions in the box. Read them.
Basically grab the tampon at the indentation (about 2/3 of the way from the tip), insert it in your vagina until your fingers touch the skin, press the plunger all the way down, remove the tube, and if you did it properly, you shouldn't feel anything. (sometimes it takes a few times to get it right, just keep practicing)

Don't listen to the people who laughed I had trouble my first time! Anyways you probably got some instructions in the box right? If you did follow those I know it may seem confusing but it's not as hard as it seems. Also using a mirror to see down there will help also. Don't be scared and don't be nervous because then you won't be able to insert it right. Good luck!!!

Best to use Playtex Gentle Glide. You may want to prop one leg on toilet while standing on the other. Slightly bend forward and insert rounded part then push thin part all the way into rounded part then pull out rounded part. You'll see the tampon string hanging out for removal.

read teh little book. unwrap it. incert it a little, and push it up, and then throw away do not flush the cardboard shell of the tampon. you might want to try it your first time with someone who you can trust (mom or sister) who uses them. to have them make sure your doing it right. my first time using them my cousin showed me, and i couldnt get it, i was putting in the cardboard -lol-
make sure you get your size that matters
i sugest using tampax pearl i love them!!!!! you dont even notice them!!!
you might want to try putting them in in different postitions, which ever makes you more comfortable. and when its comfortable in you, then its good. sometimes if its not then you should take it out and try again, i do that all the time.
GOOD LUCK!

The instructions are inside the box. Read them carefully. If you are still having difficulty, ask a trusted older friend, aunt, sister, or your mom.

well i know it helps to squat or to put on leg on the toliet seat, relax you need to relax if your tense it makes it harder!!
go slow an at your pace, you are the one doing it, so do it as your comfortable! if it helps you can sometimes use the booklet in the box but i think its more on your own speed and personal comfort level

the instructions are inside the box, read and do what it says, if it wont go in or if it hurts when it goes in then maybe its too big and you might need the slim fits. just ask your mom, aunt, grandma, or any female that you know and they will help.
