Yeah, you'd better be careful with that one. As long as you're attending his class and he hasn't assigned you a grade yet, he can lose his job, per university policy, for being involved with a person in a lesser position of power (you). Until you're both on an equal "power" footing, so to speak - that is, until you're out of his class and neither of you is in any way obliged to the other - do not get romantically involved.

But I know how you feel. I've had many professor crushes because I'm attracted to that bookish scholarly type, and professors tend to be more open-minded and understanding than the guy on the street. But be sure to check yourself. You may make him feel uncomfortable if you e-mail him constantly every day or tend to talk about personal rather than class things. Stay focused on the schoolwork, and stay open to other, more accessible love interests. Don't let yourself pine away over something you can't have.

You are probably just infatuated with the professor. Don't act on your impulse. He is probably aware of the situation and does not want to start an unethical relationship. Take a tip from the prof and keep YOUR distance.

If you're questioning it, it's probably not love at all but some type of infatuation or your just attracted to the type of person he is.

If it was love you would not have any quesitons regarding the feelings.

It could be a combination of both..
He must know and that is the reason he is avoiding you
He cannot act upon it ..and nor should you
Its quite normal for teens etc,,, to have a crush on their prof..
The thing is to keep it to yourself..
Just don't stalk him lol
Was I soft enough???

Deary, this is not love. This is interest. It is admiration. It is chemical reactions but you can't be in love with someone you really don't know. Move on. I am glad your prof is avoiding you. he could lose his job if he were to get involved with you.

Just have at it and be done with it. You only live once, no regrets.
