I am talking about the better team now, past, history, having class, and just being an all around better francise.
My vote goes to the Steelers

Yes, I am a Steelers fan. But I asked the question because someone said the Bengals are a better franchise than the Steelers. I wanted to know what the people thnk.

Yes, Its got to be the Steelers.
Better Team Now- Edge Steelers
Both teams finished 8-8 last year. However the Steelers will have a better have a better season than the Bengals. Steelers have a better defense. When it came down to it last year, when the needed Bengals to beat the Steelers to make the Playoffs. They could not.
Past - Edge Steelers
Steelers have five Super Bowls the Bengals do not have one. Steelers have 19 people in the Hall of Fame. Bengals have only 1.
History- Edge Steelers
Steelers have been around longer. Steelers were established in 1933. The Bengals joined the NFL in 1970. The Bengals have won their division 6 times. Steelers have won it 17 times.
Class- Edge Steelers
I cant even remember how many Bengals have been arrested. Steelers have a better owner with a lot of class.
Being All Around Better- Edge Steelers

Looking at history its got to be the Steelers. The Steelers team of the 70's is one of the greatest teams of all time.
However, I don't think the Steelers are better than the Bangles now, and with the off field problems with the Bengals I have to say that the Steelers have more class.

the steelers have almost always have gotten the best players for the money thanks to the Rooneys, regardless of how many good players they lose. I think the Steelers had the best defence ever in the 70's. they also have 5 lombardi's, so that gives them an edge over cincy.
nowadays the bengals are way to troublesome, which i think diminishes the class of the whole team. while the steelers' players haven't gotten into any real trouble for as long as i can remember. the steelers have had the better regular season records through time while cincy has been pretty good only the past two years.

Now I am a Bengal fan and I absolutely hate the Steelers but the peeps are right with a team that has 5 superbowl wins compared to a team with none the 5 wins............and by the way the steelers don't have a cooler uniform alright

Its the Steelers by far. They have 5 Vince Lombardi trophys. They dont have 10 players in jail right now, and have a more devoted fanbase.
And, the Steelers have only had 3 coaches in the past like 40 years. Chuck Noll is a Hall of Famer who was there for about 25 years, Cowher is a future Hall of Famer and was there for about 15 years. Mike Tomlin will come in and be great. The Rooney family is one of the best owners in all of football, and have been owning the team for over 70 years.

Since 1970:
Division titles- Pittsburgh 17, Cincinnati 6
AFC championships- Pittsburgh 6, Cincinnati 2
Superbowl records- Pittsburgh 5-1, Cincinnati 0-2
The Steelers are a model of stability, consistency, and character. That is hard to find in today's NFL.
To the bengal guy: Sticking by your jailbirds says nothing for the Bengals franchise. The idea is to remove the bad apples from your team. Of course if the Bengals did that they would have to forfeit the 2007 season because they wouldn't have enough players.

BENGALS!!!!! Better team now by far. Palmer is better then however you spell Ben's last name. It's not the bengals fault that idiots like chris henry and odell thurman can't stay out of trouble and the steelers have been voted by nfl players and coaches as the dirtiest team on the field (they intentionally tore palmer's acl and mcl in the 2005 wild card game) and former linebacker joey porter had his friends start a fight with bengals tackle
levi jones because he can't beat him up by himself. Steelers beloved quarterback came from a college in cincy (miami ohio). and as for history the steelers have been a franchise a lot longer so they are going to have more rings and wins. bengals are the better franchise

Thanx for the points. STEELERS RULE!!! The word class & the Bungals don't belong in the same sentence unless you add the word "low". The Bungals have two decent things going for them Chad Johnson, who is a great player to watch, is fun, & enjoys the game (too bad the Steelers stuff him so far) and Marvin Lewis, a Pittsburgh guy. Too bad he's stuck with that group of whiners & trash.
