I've posted this one before

Rain drops, a voice
Blue Clouds, a song
Torrent, a chorus
And Thunder, the drums
Matinee Showcase
By the window, it’s warm
Play me another, Afternoon Storm

Ok here's one I just wrote for you.

Under the Sun

In the garden shade
they lift their heads.
Stems arched, petals
unfurled like manes. Reaching
for more than their beuaty
can provide. These are the flowers
splashes of color under a loving sun.
Envied by the weeds who dwell below.
The weeds who wait.

(I had just rewritten another poem about a weed so this topic was on my mind)

I stood lone against the orange hue
of sky at sunset
save for a few small furry creatures
we stood together in silence
small furry silence.
The awe!
Eyes filled with beauty
just us and the mountain
we saw the sun lay down to sleep.

In the forest as light disappears;
walking down a small dirt laden path,
one you have never seen before.
Never wary of your surroundings,
not a single sound can make you jump.
The rustle of unseen creatures abound;
As you know where you are headed,
but you have no idea where you are;
although somehow you know;
you will accomplish your destiny.

The Camel has a single hump,
The dromedary two,
Or else the other way around,
I'm never sure - are you?

The Lord in His wisdom made the fly
And then forgot to tell us why

Sonnet #14

my love ascends amnesiac stairs/
sube mi amor escaleras amnesicas
where my sanity starves my lunacy begins/
donde mi cordura pasa hambre comienza mi locura/
to swindle itself out of itself/
para estafarse uno a si miso/
while these feelings bail/
mientras achico estos sentimientos/
this innundated sinking skiff in a storm/
este esquife inundado se hunde en la tormenta/
lashed to its prow my arms unfurl/
azotado en la proa mis brazos se abren /
gather sky in giant hungry gulps/
mi amor, reune el cielo a grandes tragos voraces/
four sheets in the sails/
las velas hechas de cuatro sabanas/
like a pauper sups from his beggars bowl/
como 'un pobre su tazon de mendigo
tiny bits of gruel/
trocitos de aguachirle/
Eye confide in its'wisdom: the fool/
Ojo confio en su sabidurيa tonta-que'necio/
the blood knows all secrets/
la sangre sabe todos los secretos/
the heart never tells/
el corazon nunca los cuenta

Enlightened expansion evolves from commitment
To spiritual summits of lofty transcendence;
Ultimate destinations are eventually reached
As insightful perception is allowed to proceed.
The dazzling peaks of our destiny ascent
Oftentimes are obscured in disillusionment
But powerful gales of awareness dissipate
Glaring mists of uncertainty that congregate.
Ascending precipices of perception
Reaching glorious vistas of calm assurance
The power emanating from within
Takes us to altitudes of sublime elevation..

Who

Who has seen the wind?
Who has loved a tree?
Who has felt a lake?..only me

Who's seen flower mouths
Sip drops of morning dew?
Who knows why sky is blue?..only you

Who helps nature weave
Webs so illustrious?
Who must gain her trust?

All of Us

The cow ate grass,
The tulip bloomed,
The natural flow of life has passed.
The cow that ate
Has now passed
and fertilized the tulip and grass.

When I was young and in my prime, I use to do it all the time. Now I'm old and getting gray, I only do it once a day.[sleep]
