Your parents do NOT control your destiny. They may control your behavior until you are old enough to move out of the house, but after that YOU control your own destiny. If you continue to let them control you after you've moved out, you are either dependent upon them for money (in which case you're not really independent and have not really "left" them) or are unwilling to control your own life. So, there is no need to hate. If you are not in control for the first reason, then your lack of control is temporary and does not really impact your "destiny" (which will be years and years down the road). If you are not in control because of the second situation, then you are a child at heart and simply need to grow up.

on the other hand would you rather pay your own bills and lose the benefit of their experience?
