I am going into high school next year (freshman) i play left tackle on offense and defensive tackle, i'd much rather be defensive tackle. I am 14 yrs old 6'1" and weigh 235. How can i prove to my coach that i'm a better defensive tackle than an offensive tackle.

perform during hitting drills in practice (Irish drills, Oklahoma's, intrasquad rushing drills). You have to have good form tackling sessions and prove that you will be able to stop the run. Also work on your rip, swim moves and shedding blocks. That's all you can do, if your coach takes notice, he will give you a shot.

hit hard and tackle right
if that isn't working you can tell him if you have the balls or just not block as well.
