The Pats have won a total of 3 Super Bowls.

The Pats didn't win their first Super Bowl until 2002.

I don't think there's any ONE "blueprint" of how to beat a team. The biggest thing the Eagles did that most teams have NOT done this season, is that the Eagles didn't get rattled when the Patriots hit them. They played 60 minutes of football. They never backed down. Additionally, I think AJ Feely might be one of the most underrated QBs in the leagues history. He played a great game, and the thing is, there was no scouting information on him. They had no way to know exactly how he would play, and how to attack him. It's like in baseball when a team puts a pitcher on the mound that nobody has seen in a few years, or at all. It takes a while to get up to speed on how to beat him. One of the big things was the way the refs weren't calling holding at all the entire game. I loved the play where Moss cut right, and his jersey actually came off his pads. There's only one way that happens. Then there was the bogus offensive pass interference call in the endzone on Moss. There's a TD that the Pats got screwed on. Finally, the field goal that they said was "no good", but on the replay it was pretty clear that it was a good field goal. There's 10 points. Not to mention the repeated holding by the Eagles offensive line, there's no way that you give your QB more than 10 seconds without holding. It's just not possible. As far as the Eagles defense... They're secondary was awesome, and their line / linebackers just constantly blitzed. They're fast, and they were able to get around the Pats O-line. I hate saying anything about the refs, but let's face the facts here, the refs called a terrible game. This is becoming more and more of a problem in the NFL.
