My dad was in the navy for around 13 years, and since I couldn't see him for about six months at a time my mom would get me these model kits of submarines to do. It ended up being that each time my dad got on a new submarine, my mom would find a new kit for that sub. It just became a hobby and I can't find this stuff anywhere in stores. Only on the internet.

Model building is a great hobby...try arts and crafts stores, they always have a nice selection...Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and the best hobby shop, Hobbytown USA...the best online site is Horizonhobby.com.

The link given was terrific !!

Almost ANY good model / hobby shop will ORDER you any kit you'd like if they don't have it in stock. Just ask the person behind the counter to see their catalogues !!

MY favorite shop J&M Hobbies in San Carlos California will order ANYTHING I ask.

Good luck and Go Navy
