I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a new system soon. I haven't upgraded my computer since 2002. I'm still using an XP 1800+ and a GF4.

I'm thinking about getting a E6600-based system right now, or wait yet another month for the Q6600 to drop in price, though it would still be more expensive than the E6600 now. I also haven't really played any games for a few years.

If you were me would you get a system now or wait?

Depends on what you plan to do with your computer. Just general surfing, word processing, or gaming, go with the E6600 now. If you are doing rendering or video editing, then what for the quad core, the extra cores will help you out.

Get it now, there's always something better about to appear.
