Why not cut executive-branch funding for the VP's office?
The heart of the issue, as Helen Thomas put it is "Vice President Cheney is refusing to allow an inspection of his office by the National Archives' Information Security Oversight Office. Isn't that a clear contempt of President Bush's own executive order?" This issue is not going away.

For you Bush and Cheney afficianados: Please spare me any references to Clinton. its not relevant.
This is only a topic for FOX or Limbaugh audiences anyway.

EJ and Debra D: you are both spot on correct.

Cheney's been running the show all along. It's the like the joke: If Cheney dies, who will be the President? Bush's executive order is just a smokescreen to buy Cheney time to cover his a*s or Bush realizes the dust under the rug is about to be exposed and he's trying to throw Cheney under the bus. Either scenario is one wolf turning on another.

I think what the bigger shame is that none of the Sunday morning talk shows even discussed this very issue! It seems to get more traction on the internet blogs than it did on the national or local news outlets...I don't know maybe it is too complicated for some to digest.
