Why would you need to? Unless there is a reason I would keep it unlisted. besides if you are on DSL, Cable etc there is a really good chance it will change shortly anyway!

If you want to give one out try 127.0.0.1 :)

Not really...there's no good reason to give your IP address to anyone. On the other hand, if someone really wanted to get your IP address, they could...but, I wouldn't give it out.

You need not give any IP address to any one. if you are using internet using dialup / dynamic IP based internet then it will be not useful to anyone

its usualy fine, and in most cases you cant help but do that anyway (web sites/file sharing..ec)
