Curvy, chubby, fat and obese are all completely different things.. why is it that people think curvy means fat.. there are lots of thin people with curvy figures so why is it generalised as being "fat"

I'm curvy and i don't think I'm fat i love my body the way its made and i don't care who says and thinks what of it. It's the greatest instrument I'll ever own.

People are slowly but surely becoming and are having misconceptions thanks to the media. I don't let that stand in my way of enjoying life. As long as i am healthy, exercise regularly and eat healthy that's all i care.

Because I find some people are too obsessed with weight, and anything over a certain size is "fat"... then tend to generalise and be nasty about it.

This image that anything that isn't skeletal isn't lovely.

I really don't know how it ended up like that...

Well, I do and I blame the media for their wrongful image of what is "fat" or "curvy" or "overweight" as opposed to what should be attractive... but I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around that people actually believe that now. Not everyone but too many for my comfort.

As a matter of fact, I want to know what happened to women with a figure. Marilyn Monroe was a size 14, and she was a sex symbol. Given, a 14 which is probably closer to a modern size 8 but that's still a lot better than some of these celebrities I see nowdays.

Curvy doesn't mean fat. Most just assume that is what they are trying to say because when do you see a model that is actually curvy. Bones and muscle structure alone will not make a person curvy. I honestly think that it can go both ways but the media is trying to brainwash us all into thinking that there is only 1 acceptable body type in the fashion industry!

people want and desire to look good. sadly, most of them think looking good is being able to fit into a size 4 dress. curvy should be very good for most girls. curvy can mean a great hourglass figure. curvy is a good word, and those other words aren't necessarily bad either. ppl should just have more of an open mind about physical features. for me, i like some chubbiness in the cheeks, and curves around the hips. so who says those are bad? nobody, wait....hollywood. media is too overrated! %&*%&*^)*

When I hear curvy, I think sexy. When I hear obese, not so sexy. Chubby makes me think of someone cute and bubbly with a little extra weight. And when I hear fat, I usually lose respect for the person speaking.

Why are you asking questions about fat people?? Just kidding... Well, maybe some do, but not everyone. I wouldn't say 'curvy' is fat. When I hear that word I think of a sexy girl.

Ugh, I hate that! I'm curvy but I'm also skinny so it is always hard to find pants. People probably think curvy means fat because most models are skinny & have no hips, boobs, or butts. haha
