do standard and latin categories have different durations??

The duration is between 90 and 120 seconds, with the exception of Viennese Walts wich is 60-90 seconds for Standard, 90 seconds for Smooth. The duration for all other dances in Latin and Standard is the same.
They allow at least 20 minutes between rounds.
You can find the rule book here, see page 8: http://usabda.org/dancesport_competitors/index.cfm Those are USA Dance rules, but I'm pretty sure they made this part consistent with IDSF rules.
