EVERYWHERE, any baby shop or brochure usually has a list, even in Australia Big W Department Stores has a list in the nappy isle!! But i think the best way is to talk to people who have babies, most of the stuff on the list is a little over the top and most girlfriends with babies will tell you that 10 bonds suits are a better idea then 10 pairs of baby stockings!! Good Luck

google it- I'm sure there are lots of lists out there!
Alot of things you don't NEED, but may want. It depends on you... do you want to jog or camp with baby? Are you going to breastfeed?
I couldn't live without a rocking chair, changing table, diaper champ (better than a diaper genie), infant swing, lullaby music, baby bjorn (baby front carrier) and a boppy (nursing pillow).
I have two children, a boy and girl 15 months apart. I have the coolest stroller ever- The Phil and Ted's E3. I wish someone would've told me about it with my first child! It's a little pricey, but well worth it! Especially if you're planning on having more than one child. It can be a single or double stroller, and you can even lay a newborn in it. Great for jogging and an everyday stroller! I've heard you can get it a little cheaper on Ebay too.

People usually try to get passed the first 6months before buying anything in the event of a tragedy or miscarriage. I started buying baby thing when I was about 8 to 8 1/2 months along. I bought unisex (Yellow and Mint Green) onesies and socks along with the receiving blanket, 1 bag of newborn diapers ( if you have a baby bigger than the average 8 lb-er newborn will not fit), wet wipes, bibs, Looked at car seat, baby carriage or Prams, bought bottles if not breastfeeding, clothes diapers for spit-up, a nursing pillow to support baby whether you breast or bottle feed. They usually give a list that tells you when to have these things. Congrats!!!

If you're in the UK, the NHS provides a full A4 book on pregnancy, childbirth and everything after. IN that book, they list everything that you'll need (a) just after baby is born (ie hospital bag) and (b) everything that you'll need for the first few weeks/months of the baby's life. If you ask your mifwife for this book, she should be able to provide it for you. It's called "The Pregnancy Book"

Hi,
There are a lot of great books about babies and 'What to expect when ur ecpecting' was one of my faves.
Some baby shops may have lists or the hospital your gp. Shops may have long and expensive lists. Mayb you hav a friend who has just had a bub and they can share also try community mothers gorups or child health nurses.
Good Luck!

Mothercare have a free catalogue that gives you tips and pages of things that you will need. Sort of a tick list that you get the stuff and tick it off as you go!
