The job economy in the US is bad, so I know how you feel. I was lucky to get two parttime jobs over the summer. Especially if you want a 'good' job that pays well, your best bet is Wal-mart or fastfood. Since its summer make sure you let them know its temporary.

If you want to, mowing lands does pay well and if all else fails, try going to the college and seeing the summer opportunities they offer.

Also, if you want to be productive, try doing volunteer work (it makes you feel good and it looks good on college applications/scholarships).

Don't give up yet! It's really hard to find a job right now. Have you tried fast food or Wal-Mart, they're always hiring! If not you could mow lawns or babysit.
