Any pain after the reduction WILL go away! Its better to have the surgery instead of dealing with constant back pain from heavy big breasts.
I had it done in Feb 2006 and I went from a 38J to a 38C and do not regret it one bit. I only wish I got it done sooner.
My insurance company paid 100% of it.
I was off work for two weeks (more if you are very physically active) and got back to full duty after a month or so, whenever my incisions were fully closed.
I have a whole "surgery story" for you, if you want contact me and I'll send it to you as well as answer any other questions you may have.

hi, i had my breast reduction in May 2006, and had it done on the NHS. I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life to have it done; I'm so happy now with the results and I feel like a different woman! I wasn't huge before (34GG) but my problem was that I had excess skin so they hung down lots and were very uncomfrotable. now they are amazing and pert, just like I feel breasts should be, I feel very feminine, and I can even go without wearing a bra! I'm now a 34DD so still a good size. But I was very painful, i wasn't prepared for how uncomfortable it would be, and how helpless you feel because you can't use your arms for anything for a couple of weeks - not even lifiting up a tin of beans! But the discomfort was only bad for a couple of weeks and i never had to resort to pain meds, and after about 4 weeks there was no more discomfort. The only negative thing is that I have lost all sensation in my nipples. and along the incision line, but I feel its a VERY small price to pay for the amazing breasts I have now and how feminine they make me feel! I would say don't hold back, do it, and do it ASAP, you most certainly won't regret it!

my friend is having it done in september, she is a DD size bra and is going to a C size. She is having back pains and this is the only way to stop it so i would suggest you get it done as the benefits out weight the negatives. Since it is an operation you will be sore but it will get better. Just think of all the beautiful clothes you will be able to buy when your better

Hi, my niece had this op last year and it's made her more confident. People look at her face now where they used to talk to her boobs. She was 20 when she had it. Go for it. A week or two of discomfort will be worth it. Good luck. X

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Saw the operation on C4 a few years ago. It's not pretty and the new positioning technique for the nipple was more reminiscent of a "Spot the ball" competition.

My sister in law had it done years ago. I don't think it is such a big operation these days . I say go for it. You can probably get it done on the NHS if in UK, as it is affecting your health. Good luck
