i recently took a test as to what career i should pursue it said that i should study 'global marketing with a language' at university... what is marketing and what this type of job entail???

for example...if you were marketing books...you would take your product and figure out ways to get it noticed on the market and the best ways to sell it...produce it...things like that...marketing is not a bad job and usually very fast paced...and good pay...

Is there another culture you have a connection to? For instance, if you learned chinese and wanted to do business with that part of the world, you would have many opportunities.
Of course, to do well in marketing, you should already be considered an outgoing and persuasive person. If you are not those things now, you could consider behind the lines work in computers or other technology.
You must be enthused about your path. That's why it is good to choose work that relates to your strengths and interests.

Marketing is a posh word for sales, sorry but why would you take a test to tell you what career path to opt for, do what your heart tells you and follow your dreams.
