Yes, a frequent yeast infection could be an indicator of Diabetes. But as for not treating it it can make one very uncomfortable and from the point of the discomfort and for how long she has had this she needs to be seen by a dr. She needs to tell her mom about this so that the dr can help her get this treated.

Please tell your friend that she really needs to see her dr and of course tell her mom first and foremost.

She should be able to tell her doctor anything if not her mum. If she doesnt want to see a docter. Ask at a chemist for antifungal cream for down there, its over the counter and she never has to go back to the chemist if she doesnt want to, so no one will know.

If she doesn't get it sorted out, she could have permanent scar tissue on her cervix and vaginal walls....but thrush is only visible in the body during a woman's "baby making" years, sometimes (but rarely) through puberty, if she's had sex. or if she's pregnant. And you say she diagnosed herself at 11? and now she's 16?

Seriously-what medical book what she looking in for advice?
