Try to run windows in " SAFE MODE " by pressing "F8" button at the time of booting and see wheater it is restarting or not in safe mode, if same problem then RAM may be faulty and if not the try to reinstall the O.S. , Restarting Reasons is
1. Virus scan
2. S/w reinstallation ( O.S.)
3. RAM Faulty ( pls try refix it )
4. Some Time Motherboard
I suggest u to relaod the oprating system and motherboard driver

Probably faulty power supply or faulty SMPS, the power supply momentarily stops causing the comp to shut down and restart when the power comes back.

yeah, probably an overheating problem. the processor resets to protect itself when it gets too hot. open the pc case and check if the fans are clean.

I have something to add to those useful answers - try www.avast.com antivirus. It's free and it found viruses, that other antivirus programs didn't.
Or may be your PC has a conflict between two or more programs.
