Stop that!
Jane *almost* said she was sorry for causing American soldiers to be tortured because she said something or other or visited someone somewhere or other and had her picture taken.
And John Kerry was invited but couldn't come because he almost didn't testify before congress about murderers and baby killers before he threw someone's medals away (not the 3 purple hearts he earned in 2 months; heard he was almost crippled for life by that big splinter...).
Where's that guy who complained about Ms. Pelosi being under his bed? I'll bet he knows what was supposed to be on the menu (snail darters I imagine).
Besides all that, the dinner was canceled because Fidel had a little tummy problem (so he called in a doctor) and couldn't make it out of paradise. Where's Idi Amin when you need him? THAT guy knew how to throw a party.
Not repeating history is tough when you can't think rationally, won't admit obvious truths, want to end the great experiment in freedom, or just want to rebel against the evil capitalists that created your life style.
Somebody should go make a movie about Cuba's health care system or Hugo's great government .Mikey? Danny? (Jane?) Where's Barbarella?
Late addition:
The 2 ladies that think this is silly don't seem to realize that no one prosecuted Jane for her seditious act and that is the *exact* point about bin Laden.
Ladies: why haven't we charged Ms. Pelosi with violating the Logan act??

This response is to "justagrandma" and those who think just as you do. History has a funny way of repeating itself. The repetitiousness of history is based on only one factor. That factor is the principals by which people chose to live their lives.
Hanoi Jane acted on her principals. Those principals caused her to spit in the face of our imprisoned soldiers and support a brutal communist regime. She gave aid and comfort to our enemy. She even visited a triple A site which I'm sure killed a few of our soldiers. SHE EVEN SAT IN THE GUN SEAT. Now it would seem that those "principles" she acted on have revived themselves in a new generation of Jihad Janes and Jihad Johns. What about Jihad Sean(Penn) who visited Iraq before the Allied invasion. I wounder if he visited the mass graves during his visit? Whatever those "principles" are we should be continually vigilant to keep her atrocities from ever happening again. That includes chastising her and honor those men in the "Hanoi Hilton".
Personally Paul I thank you and all who served in Vietnam, that includes my father, for your sacrifice. I wish some of these people would show alot more gratitude for those who would serve them both past and present.

In either case get their coordinates we can call in an air strike. Maybe one of the former pilot POW's in the Hanoi Hilton can lead the attack.

In forty years when we are having State Dinners with Bin Ladin you will understand why worrying about a forty year old incident with a movie starlet is so incredibly pointless.
I am married to a Viet Nam era vet, and I was actually alive and lost friends there, surely it will go down as' the war where no one knew why'. Jane Fonda wasn't the brightest bulb in the world, she was that days Paris Hilton, and who would listen to her opinion on anything?
We bombed the hell out of Viet Nam, we invaded it, we poisoned the very earth and water and killed people who were going after us with sticks and rocks. Its so different now, we were told that if we didn't stop Communism there the countries would all go Left and we would be fighting Communism on the streets of America, if this all sounds familiar...
Nixon went to Red China, We have excellent trade relations with Viet Nam, does anyone remember that we have also fought wars with Italy, Germany, and Japan? All of whom have Most Favored Nation status with us now?
Its that we remember history and we have seen where it leads us, where yesterdays enemy's are tomorrows markets without a blink of the eye.
Except for one dumb, young Hollywood starlet.
She plays scapegoat for us all.

There are only 2 performers whose movies I boycott - Michael Moore and Jane Fonda. I know why the Nixon Administration decided not to try her for treason, but there is no limitation period for treason.
