I have had too many for my liking. I live in the country, and a late walk back from friends on a damp night is just as you state. If there is anyone else walking you can't see them but boy you can hear them.
Mind you I have learnt that when going to the dustbin at night, not to go in bare feet. It isn't the snails that are a problem but the slugs ..... yuck I have had to wash squashed slug from between toes too many times.

Actually yes - especially after rain the path to the front door of my house is a transit lounge for dozens of snails.

yes i believe so.
the time was 20:72
the year was unkown to those who didnt know it.
the night was small and wearing weasel shaped armour.
the snails were livid and wild, with young feet hopping around like they were on the weakest link.
as i walked by, they insisted on stopping me and asking me for directions as to were i was.
i would not take this sort of abuse lying down, so i got up.
I ran away, taking my socks with me, and looked back to get a faceful of flying sheep.
Obviously someone was trying to pull the wool over my eyes.
I rang the police, and explained i had been assualted by snails, and they asked me where it was, and at what time.
I replied to them that i didnt know, it all happened so fast.

Nope, but have several daytime walks on sunlit paths strewn with rails.

No. Not the snails bit anyway, still was with a girl so maybe I didn't notice.

no but i ran out into my garden in the rain once, with no shoes on and when i looked down the ground was covered in sanils. i hate snails so i nearly pooed my pants. lesson learnt always wear shoes in the garden.

yes down my garden path bringing in my washing and the slimmy shelly small twats were everywher i squished around 10 by accident and fell on my rather big bullbusbutt
it wasnt preety it wasnt nice

don't need to take a walk, my driveway is like that ever time it rains, in fact i think i may of killed a few this morning....and those i missed with my big feet got it by my car!....sorry snails....

No and I don't intend to. I have a deathly fear of snails, but I'm not sure why.
